Helsinki Design Week gathers together the most interesting design events in Helsinki. Apply for the 2017 programme by 26 May.
Helsinki Design Week is the largest design festival in the Nordic countries. Each year the important part of the programme is produced by individual event organizers. The festival programme is curated and you can apply for the programme through the open call. The open call for programme entries is open until May 26.
You can propose an exhibition, an opening party, a fashion show, an open studio, a seminar – or something totally different. Helsinki Design Week is a multidisciplinary festival, so your event can be related to any field of design: product or service design, architecture, fashion, graphic design, game design… the choice is yours.
Last year we brought together more than 150 event organizers and over 250 events all around the city.
Helsinki Design Week will be held from 7 to 17 September 2017. Your event dates must fall within this time frame. The selected events will be part of the official festival programme and its marketing communications.
The theme in 2017 is Q&A. How can we use design to build better cities and a better society? How could design-thinking benefit new areas? We must ask the right questions and come up with answers that remain relevant in the future. Read more about the theme here.
The event organizers are important stakeholders for Helsinki Design Week. This year the open call has been developed to serve event organizers better. The participation fee is same than last year, and in addition, we offer extra packages for visibility.
