Paja&Bureau is a communal studio in the heart of Ullanlinna focusing on material-based design, art and handicrafts. The space includes a showroom, separate workshop areas, a design studio and communal spaces.

The space was renovated by the main tenants last winter, and the opening party was held in February. Combining production facilities with an exceptionally central location makes the space extremely unique for Helsinki and also gives a chance to display work methods in addition to the actual finished products.

Paja&Bureau is also a part of Design District Helsinki and serves as an event venue for conferences, exhibitions, workshops and other happenings.

The main tenant and producer of the space is design studio Paja&Bureau Oy, which specializes in furniture and product design and manufacturing with an emphasis on metal materials. The company also does a lot of interior design and technical production. www.pajabureau.fi
