24 HEVI: Helsinki-Espoo-Vantaa Innovations is a design contest that takes place with the Metropolia Polytechnic Design Department. The competition is organized as a 24-hour design sprint competition, where after an assignment, students have 24 hours to innovate their proposal.

The competition seeks new ideas in the themes of business, tourism or housing-related issues in the cities of Helsinki, Espoo and Vantaa by means of design. The task is flexible to allow for new ideas. The exact assignment is given to the students just before the start of the competition. The moderator of the event is the design director of the City of Helsinki.

The idea is to find concepts that work as a kind of adhesive between these three cities and which each city can take advantage of.
