Meiju Niskala
Juhlat jatkukoon

The works are the product of artist Meiju Niskala’s survival process after she lost three family members in one year and fell seriously ill.

They include a Song for the Dead, the police department’s wanted picture of the artist’s mother, a mouth-blown series of champagne glasses modelled in the shape of the artist’s support persons’ breasts, and the newly published book, A Hundred Letters to My Departed Mother.

The main venue of Helsinki Design Week, Erottaja 2, provides a multitude of events during the festival.

Open from 11 am to 7 pm every day except Monday, 9 September.
