Design Market

The largest design stock sale in the Nordics kicks off the HDW festival by once more taking over the Cable Factory. At Design Market, you can buy off-season products and prototypes at affordable prices. In addition to about 200 vendors, for example the market will feature Whim  and the waste food restaurant Loop. 

The Freda Flower Market (Fredan Kukkaistori) is back in the inner courtyard, where you can design hand-picked flower bouquets at a workshop arranged by Arteflos on Sunday at 1pm and 4pm (there will be a limited amount of flowers). On Saturday, there is also a chance to express oneself as a creator of fashion – the participants of Anna Markiz’s workshop will be able to edit their chosen fashion picture and eventually execute a 3D depiction of the clothing idea. The workshop will be held on Saturday at 1pm You are welcome to also participate in MUM’s pin workshop and select a designer print for your pin for both days of the weekend. The pin workshop will be continuously open throughout the weekend.

Vinyl Market and Print Market

The newest addition to the Design Market is the Vinyl  Market produced by We Jazz. There people get to enjoy some sweet background music by live DJs and relax while making LP finds and shopping for print products in the Print Market. The Print Market is focused on print products again this year. In front of these two there will be a flower workshop organized by Arteflos during the weekend. Arteflos is an alternative to the ordinary.


New Market x Food

New Market is again a part of Design Market on 8 and 9 September at the Cable Factory. The New Market provides an opportunity to purchase new, unforeseen products while enjoying an insightful shopping experience.

This year the New Market brands and products have to do with food design, nourishment trends and Nordic ingredients. In addition to the 20 stalls, the market event provides a food-themed programme, food design discussions and info spots.
