The residency of Finnish Ambassador is situated in Leipziger Platz, in the middle of Berlin. The apartment has 360 degree views overlooking the city. The apartment has acted as the residence of the Finnish Ambassador since 2012.

During the Design Diplomacy event in Berlin, the designers Ervin Latimer (FIN), Johanna Perret (DE) and Tutia Schaad (DE) discuss their passions.

Ervin Latimer describes himself as “fashion designer and creative human”. He is based in Helsinki and New York and currently studying fashion, textile and collection design at Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture Master of Arts program. His focus is on fashion and menswear design, but his work and interests extend to art and exhibition production, fashion styling and other creative work.

Perret Schaad was established in 2009 by Johanna Perret and Tutia Schaad. Inspired by modern women and their lifestyles, the Berlin-based fashion duo’s pieces show a unique sensibility for colours, a strong focus on details and an interest in creating outstanding, yet wearable designs. Their approach is defined by respect for traditional handcraft and technique along with an irrepressible desire to redefine the rules.

The event is part of the Design Diplomacy discussion series created by Helsinki Design Week, which open the doors to ambassadors’ residences all over the world.
