Located opposite the Old Church Park in the center of Helsinki, this apartment is the oldest among the ambassadors’ residences in the city.
Textile, print and material designer Cecilie Elisabeth Rudolph will participate in the discussion from Denmark together with a textile designer and a visual artist Hanna-Kaisa Korolainen.
Cecilie Elisabeth Rudolph is a highly passionate, hands-on designer with an explorative and experimental approach towards creating. Rudolph is very tactile and focuses on the ability of the senses as a function enabling us to both see and touch, but also manipulate the mind. Thus, she often exploits the possibilities of fabric manipulations.
Hanna-Kaisa Korolainen is a textile designer and a visual artist. She has been living and working in Paris, Brussels and lately in Helsinki. She is currently a doctoral student in Aalto University of Arts, Design and Architecture, where she also teaches. Her research investigates the role of inspiration sources in the creative process.
