New Advisory Board for Helsinki Design Week

A new group of expert advisers join Helsinki Design Week to grow and internationalise its activities.

Helsinki Design Week is undergoing a strong phase of internationalization and growth. A group of experts has been invited to give further advice during this exciting time.

The task of the Advisory Board is to both support and challenge the strategic development of Helsinki Design Week.

The group will also provide insight into the organisation’s growing international remit and all-year round media initiatives.

The members of the Advisory Board are: Anne Korkiakoski, marketing and communications professional, board professional; Marja-Leena Rinkineva, Director of Economic Development, City of Helsinki; Ilkka Suppanen, designer; Jaakko Tapaninen, CEO and Founding Partner of communications and content agency Great Point, and Anna Valtonen, Dean, School of Arts, Design and Architecture and Vice President, Art and creative practices, Aalto University.

The group met for the first time in August prior to Helsinki Design Week 2015 and has now started its work advising on future activities.
