Over the years, Helsinki Design Week has developed a tradition of discovering the hidden pearls of the city and bringing them to life by transforming them into event venues. This year is no exception. The main venue of the 2015 festival is the listed, Lars Sonck designed L3 harbour warehouse located in the new, developing city district of Jätkäsaari.

Helsinki Design Week will take several floors of the building and the surrounding shore area, transforming it into the L3 Design Dock. Over a five period, the L3 Design Dock presents exhibitions, seminars and a multifaceted programme of events for professionals and city residents interested in design alike. The exhibition architecture is designed by Joanna Laajisto Creative Studio. Throughout the event, wild herb chef Sami Tallberg will serve up delicacies in a café designed by Laajisto and inspired by late summer garden parties. The event is open to design professionals on Wednesday and Thursday and to the general public from Friday to Sunday.

Exhibitors include both Finnish and international top design brands: ADORA, Aksi, ARKTIS, Atelier House, Camilla Moberg Designs, Catalina, Durat, HermanMiller, Inno, Innofusor, Innolux, Isku Interior, Johanna Gullichsen Textile Craft & Design, Kairo Collection, Kinnarps, Muunto, Muurame, NIKARI, Nomart, Ofisea, Orient Occident, Puustelli, SAAS Instruments, Secto Design, Showroom Finland, Solulight, Studio Arto Halmetoja, Studio HH, Studio Karin Widnäs, Tetrimäki, The Friends of Finnish Handicraft,Tuulia Penttilä, Vepsäläinen, VM-Carpet and Woodnotes.
