The Swedish Embassy’s residence is located in the centre of Helsinki and has been in use since the 1920s. In 1921 the Swedish state acquired the building, which was reconstructed once again, this time to serve as the Embassy of Sweden. The reconstruction was done according to the plans of Swedish architect Torben Grut with an external resemblance to the Royal Palace in Stockholm. The Ambassador’s residence is richly decorated with antique furniture and art representing different epochs and styles.

Interior Architects Fyra Oy’s founder and partner Eva-Marie Eriksson and Joel Karlsson the design executive and partner of Krook & Tjäder Design conduct the discussion in this Design Diplomacy event.

Interior architect Eva-Marie Eriksson is one of the founders and partners of Interior Architects Fyra Oy, founded in 2010. Eva-Marie’s core know-how is in overall hotel design, the most recent of which is the just finished 25,000 m² Radisson Blu Seaside and currently Pasila’s Tripla project’s hotel with over 400 rooms.
