The pictures on display at the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai will arrive in Finland. This Finnish-Chinese visual dictionary breaks the lingual barrier between the two cultures. In the pictures Finnish places and situations meet Chinese characters. First we wonder, then we understand.

Petteri Kokkonen: Stories from Koskenkorva village
Photographer Petteri Kokkonen has immortalised life, death, misery and love in the farthest corners of the world, like in Darfur, Eritrea, India, Liberia, Palestine and Northern Ireland, before subsequently returning to Ostrobothnia, to Koskenkorva village (neighbouring Ilmajoki). The images on display during Helsinki Design Week tell tales from Petteri¹s home district.

Sari Palosaari Momo City – Prospect #3
Momo City – Prospect #3 is a large architectural installation, the third built under the name of Momo City. These sculpture-like installations are made out of Ikea tables and shelves combined with the type of laminate cabinets commonly used in Finnish apartments.
